The Leukaemia Project Foundation (LPF) was honoured to be the charity beneficiary of last
year's Captain's Cup Polo Tournament, an inspiring event that brought together sports
enthusiasts, corporate partners, philanthropists, and members of the public to support the fight
against leukaemia in Ghana.
Held in an atmosphere of excitement, elegance, and purpose, the tournament served as a platform
to raise awareness about leukaemia while encouraging individuals and organizations to
contribute towards improving care and support for patients and their families. Guests enjoyed
thrilling polo matches, networking opportunities, and meaningful conversations centred on the
Foundation's mission to bring hope to those affected by blood cancers.
The event also highlighted the Foundation's ongoing efforts to establish Ghana's first Centre for
Haematology and Clinical Genetics at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital—a landmark project
aimed at improving access to specialised diagnosis, treatment, research, and patient care for
individuals living with leukaemia and other blood disorders.
The Leukaemia Project Foundation extends its sincere appreciation to the organisers of the
Captain's Cup Polo Tournament, sponsors, partners, donors, volunteers, players, and everyone
who attended and supported the event. Your generosity and commitment continue to make a
meaningful difference in the lives of patients and their families.
Together, we are raising awareness, inspiring hope, and working towards a future where quality
leukaemia care is accessible to everyone in Ghana.
